Hidden Norfolk Art

Norfolk is definitely blessed with some of the best vistas and wildlife spectacles that the country can boast. Naturally, because if this, photographers and artists have been drawn to the region for decades in search of superior light and wide open skies. Peter Scott to name one was particularly fond of the North Norfolk Coast and its wildlife, and the continued passion of today’s artists underline how special this place is.

Hidden Norfolk is proud to support two wildlife artists that we think truly capture not only the wildlife in a unique way but really epitomise the atmosphere of the place throughout the seasons.

Guy Allen

“Capturing the personality of your dog in a unique way”

Guy Allen graduated in the Summer of 2011 from Central Saint Martins School of Art, with an Honours degree in Fine Art.

He is now working full time as an artist, moving back and forth between his studios in London and Norfolk, continually drawing inspiration from the change of scenes surrounding him. 

Jonathan Yule

Jonathan is self-taught and has been painting professionally for thirty years. Although drawing and painting were always constants in his life he trained in agriculture and worked as a shepherd. The long and happy hours spent tending his flock in the Norfolk Breckland gave him the opportunity to watch and learn at close hand the landscape and wildlife to which he feels so strongly connected. Having a deep understanding of one’s subject is essential so this was an intensely important period in his development as an artist.
